She was predeceased by: her husband W. H. Gaines; her son Bobby Ray Gaines; her parents, Columbus Loper and Etta Loper; and her siblings, Blanche Stamper, Frank Loper, G. C. Loper, Robert Loper and Winfred Loper.

She is survived by: her son John Gaines. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
