He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred Simmons Jay. He is survived by: his father Douglas E. Jay, Sr. of Newton, MS; his brother Rev. David Jay (Janet); his nephew Austin Jay (Audrey); his nieces, Andrea Moore (Tim) and Alicia Chance (Brad); and his friend Sara Myers. He is also survived by five great-nieces and nephews.
