She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl W. Breland and Ruby Higginbotham Breland; her former husband Richard Whitehead; her husband Don Smith; her children, Chris Whitehead and Scarlett Wise; and her siblings, Levon Breland, Vondell Breland, Doris Doyle and Dianne Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Waylon Whitehead (Sharon) of Vidalia, LA and Jackie Kerben (Bubba) of Meadville; her children-in-law, Missy Whitehead of Natchez and Raylen Wise of Alexandria, LA; her stepchildren, Don Smith, Jr. of Brandon and Linda Dampeer of Utica; her sister Elaine Middleton (Herman) of Baker, LA; and her grandchildren, Mandy Wilson (Matt), Doug Kerben (Skye), Mollie Whitehead, Maggie Whitehead, Joshua Mooney, Tyler McClure (Meagan), Brittany Lemoine (Dustin), Jack Whitehead, Dustin Etheridge (Abigail) and Casey Etheridge. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
The family request memorials be made in her name to the Natchez Humane Society.
