It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Davis McGinnis of Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on February 18, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ike Davis and Bert Davis; her husband James E. McGinnis, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Louise Flood. She is survived by: her children, Gina Long (Hank), Carol Alexander (Rex) of Birmingham, AL and Jim McGinnis (Cindy) of Meridian; her grandchildren, Henry Long, Virginia Long, Tommy Kitsmiller, Menton M. Deweese (Matthew) of Nashville, TN, Davis McGinnis (Karli) of Meridian and Caroline Gibson (Jeffrey) of Waxahachie, TX; her great grandchildren, Hank Long, Ella Gray Deweese, Adeline Deweese, Parks McGinnis and Anne Harvey McGinnis; her brother-in-law Larry Flood (Sheryl) of Meridian; her niece Melissa F. Neyland (Nash) of Jackson, MS; and her nephew Lloyd Flood (Susan) of Atlanta, GA..
