He is survived by: his grandsons, William A. Hanner, Watson Ray and Joshua Coleman; his former wife Annie Short Smith of Green Forest, AR; his children, Amanda Kohnert Morel (Terry) of McComb, MS, Alice Phillips (Edgar) of Green Forest, AR, Ruby Smith of Green Forest, AR, Shontel Ford Marlow, Eric Short (Patricia) of Green Forest, AR, Bill Riddle of Brookland, AR and Travis Short (Stephanie Roberts) of Green Forest, AR; and his siblings, Wanda Short Scott of Mt. Herman, LA, Sharon Bahm of Fayette, AL, Danny Short of Tupelo, MS, Jerry Short (Paulette) of Independence, LA and Rickey Short (Rose) of Albany, LA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to East Union Baptist Church in Magnolia, MS.
