He was predeceased by: his son Royce Self; and his parents, Samuel Green and Ara Watson. He is survived by: his wife Pat Watson of Crenshaw, MS; his children, Sheila Goza (William) of Duck Hill, MS, Jeanette Perez (Mike) of Mobile, AL, Kayla Pittman (T. J.) of Pope, MS and Richard Watson (Brenda) of Pope, MS; his grandsons, Tony Wayne Self of Crenshaw, MS and Blake Self of Askew, MS; and his siblings, Elsie Murphey of Bloomington, IL, Garland Watson (Jamie) and Thurman Watson (Louise) of Banner, MS. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren.
