He is survived by: his parents, Samuel Sherrill and Flossie Sherrill; his children, Carol Leslie Jones, Amy Elizabeth Moon, Sam B. Sherrill, Jr. and Joel Lindsey Sherrill; and his grandchildren, William Moon, III, Bryce Moon, Riley Moon, Sam B. Sherrill, III, Seth Sherrill, Christian Sherrill-Jordan, Saige Sherrill, Jack Sherrill, Allyson Byrd and Daniel Jones. He is also survived by 3 great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons.
