With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rose Matherne Blanchard of Madison, Mississippi, born in Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on July 27, 2021 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Matherne Sr. and Malvina "Joe" Matherne Trahan; and her brothers, Albert Matherne Jr., Gill Matherne, Glynn Matherne and Henry Matherne.
She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Paul Blanchard, Sr.; her children, Mico Hunsucker (Joshua), Kurt Blanchard and Lawrence Blanchard Jr. (Vallery); her grandchildren, Jeffery Thibodeaux Jr. Megan Thibodeaux, Luke Trahan, Landen Hunsucker and Valeria Blanchard; and her brothers, Lynn John Matherne and Mark Matherne.
The family ask that those attending the visitation be mindful of social distancing and the health of others.
