She is survived by: her son Brandon; her parents, Louise Dendy and Billy Franks Mitchell (Betty); her husband Mike Danford; her daughter-in-law Katina Hutson; her grandchildren, Bennett and Hayes Hutson; her brothers, Billy Mitchell (Pamela) and Stephen Mitchell; her nieces, Micah Brittin (Joshua) and Amanda Thompson (Brian); and her nephew Christopher Mitchell (Leigh). She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In honor of Penny, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
