She was predeceased by: her husband Everett Louis Bates; her parents, Michael Dennis Kirby and Genevieve Cavanaugh Kirby; and her siblings, Maurice Kirby, Bobby Kirby, Phil Kirby, Jimmy Kirby and Patsy Kirby East.
She is survived by: her children, Keith Bates (Freda), Vicki Pickett (George), Stephen Bates and Susan Crandall (Mike); her grandchildren, Melissa Gouge (Jake), Valerie Frazier (Josh), Lisa Parenteau (Scott), Ashley Crandall and Ryan Crandall (Leigh); and her brothers, Ted Kirby (Mary) and Don Kirby (Barb). She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
