With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Emily Jo Dyess of Louin, Mississippi, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Emily Jo left this world on January 29, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Billie S Dyess; her parents, Clarence Jackson Keyes and Emmie Catherine Harrington Keyes; and her siblings, L. C. Keyes, Clarence Franklin Keyes and Hilda Rose Keyes Wilson.

She is survived by: her sons, Jimmy Dyess (Maxine) and Joe Dyess (La Donnia); and her grandchildren, Bill Dyess (Tammy), Jason Dyess (Christy), Heather Dyess Horn (Gabe), Angel Naomie Austin and Kolt Austin (Alison). She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stockyard Cowboy Church (4034 MS-15, Louin, MS 39338). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at the Louin Cemetery.

“Oh I loved Miss Emily . I worked as a caretaker( CNA) at Jasper General and got to know her so well. We became very close in my time as an Employee at JG. All of my patients through the years always have an impact on my life. But sometimes some more than others. Miss Emily was one of those. She was always so Sweet, and very appreciative for anything anyone done for her. And that meant a lot.i will always carry a Soecial place in my Heart for her.
