He was predeceased by: his parents, Urban Dennis Carter, Jr. and Cassie Holbrook Carter. He is survived by: his wife Sara Mehaffey Carter; his children, Melissa Carter Toth (John Dauber) of Strongsville, OH, Emily Carter Kolenda (Joshua Kolenda) of Long Beach, MS and Edgar R. Carter (Lindsay Carter) of South Fayette, PA; his sister Debbie Carter Smith (Kit Smith III) of Daphne, AL; and his grandchildren, Brandon Toth, Jameson Dauber, Madison Kolenda, Reagan Kolenda, Harper Carter, Hadley Carter and Haisley Carter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
