She was predeceased by: her parents, James Franklin Edwards and Florence Lorraine Gatlin Gladden; and her husband Harry James Bowes. She is survived by: her children, Lorraine Ann Fay and Harry McRedmond Bowes; her grandchildren, Melissa Fay, Gatlin Fay and Caroline Fay; and her great grandchildren, Chloe Marie Balcita and Benjamin James Balcita.
