It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garland D. Whittington of Liberty, Mississippi, who passed away on September 22, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Whittington and Rosa Mae Whittington Nix; his stepfather Percy Nix; his former wife Betty Roberts Whittington; his siblings, Glen Dolan Whittington, W. L. Whittington and Polly Whittington Wilkinson; his brother-in-law Malcolm Wilkinson; and his son Craig Whittington.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Coulter Whittington; his stepchildren, Chris, Jessica Haygood, Nicki and Alvin Thompson; his grandchildren, Tucker, Austin Thompson and Walter Haygood; his sisters, Patsy (Dicky Smith) and Becky Whittington Riggar of Alexandra; his nephew Greg; his niece Julie Wilkinson; his parents-in-law, Donnie Coulter Graves and Tommy Graves; his brothers-in-law, Duayne and Lamar Coulter; and his nieces, Keri and Kaitlyn Coulter.
