He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Cleveland Blalock and Nora Lee Plemmons Blalock; his wife Geraldine Whittington Blalock; his daughter Denise Honea; his grandchildren, Sara Blalock, Nathan Blalock and Mary Margaret Nickens; his son-in-law John Steele; and his siblings, Lee Blalock and Dorothy Hadley.
He is survived by: his children, Carla Steele, Rhonda Nickens (Dean) and Ronnie Blalock (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Matthew Blalock, Anna VanNorman, Chris Honea, Joshua Honea, Kane Honea, Lynlee Maddren, Leighton Honea, Jake Nickens, Julia Olson, Christian Nickens, Zach Steele and Olivia Steele; and his siblings, Melvin Blalock, Aubrey Blalock, Merrill Blalock, Bert Blalock, Wilma Aucoin and Debra Moritz. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
