He was predeceased by: his parents, Saul Patiño and Axelinta Patiño; and his sisters, Beatriz Patiño and Cecilia Moreno (Alvaro). He is survived by: his spouse Nydia Patiño; his sons, Dr. Gilberto "Bert" Patiño (Theresa Patiño) and Dr. Gregory Patiño (Andrea Patiño); his grandchildren, Emilia Patiño, Ana Patiño, Gabriela Patiño, Laura Patiño, Dominic Patiño, Isabella Patiño and Alexandrea Patiño; and his brother Dr. Carlos Patiño (Leonor) of Jackson, MS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that individuals consider making a memorial donation to a scholarship fund for students living in Greene County who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine.
