She was predeceased by: her parents, Bilbo Whatley and Annie Merle Whatley; her brother James Whatley; and her brother-in-law J. L. "Creeper" Nelson. She is survived by: her husband Melvin C. Nicholson; her children, Mel Nicholson (Debbie), Ronny Nicholson (Denise), Teri Capshaw (David) and Jo Beth Bounds (Jeff); her sisters, Mary Beth Nelson and June DePriest (Joe); her grandchildren, Kristin Moore (Michael), Paige Bergeron (Kenny), Katelyn Nicholson, Craig Nicholson, Nicole Ethridge (Jay), Dr. Kelsey Bounds, Ross Bounds and Noah Capshaw; her great grandchildren, Rylan, Kellen, Emerson Moore, Sky Nicholson, Addie and Grady Bergeron; her nieces and nephews, Joel Nelson (Vicki), Steve Nelson (Angie), Bill DePriest (Debbie), Rodney DePriest (Becki), Jamie Whatley (Gina), Scotty Gibson (Patty), Anne Marie Massingill (Scott), Cathy DePriest South (Donnie), Angela Whatley, Linda Adkins (Tim) and Ginger McMillan (Rusty); her grandsons, Chase Nicholson and Chance Nicholson; her close friend Jeremy Bounds; and her grandsons-in-law, Kenny Bergeron, Jay Ethridge and Michael Moore.
