It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Jeanette Bethany of Lawrence, Mississippi, born in Florence, Mississippi, who passed away on March 8, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Bethany; her parents, Lemuel Smith and Pauline Smith; and her sister Nancy Blanton. She is survived by: her children, JoElyn Miller (Axton), George Bethany (Wanda) and Gaye Smith (Fent); her grandchildren, Kim Miller, Isaac Miller, Christian Smith, Bethany Smith and Lee Eady; and her siblings, Helen Lawrence and Curtis Smith. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
