He was predeceased by: his wife Willie Mae Armstrong Wood; and his parents, Joe Roy Wood and Della Pearl Walker Wood. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Joe Cross and Janet Cross; his grandson Justin Butler (Neely); his great grandchild Macie Butler; and his sister Royette Hack. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
