He was predeceased by: his son Michael O'Shea Ryan; and his parents, Alba Ryan and Gela Ryan. He is survived by: his children, George Benefield (Jonnie), Susan Belden (Steve), James Benefield (Marla), Gary Ryan, Jr., Leah Shearon (John), Jubal Ryan, Tim Ryan and Cassie "Tinker" Wright (Michael); and his siblings, Peter Ryan (Gina), Emily Brummett, Henry Ryan and Melody Dowdy. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
