He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph F. Self, Sr. and Dorothy Herod Self; his siblings, Barbara F. Self, Stacey L. Self and Thurman A. Self; his parents-in-law, Boyd and Jessie Melcher Ramage; and his brother-in-law Bob Dumas.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Ramage Self (Ramage); his sisters, Jerrie E. Self Dumas, Karen Self Kuhn (Freddie) and April Self Jordan (Ric); his friend Herb Elam; and his pet Sonny. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews he loved.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Jordan Funeral Home in Ralph Self, Jr.'s honor.
