He was predeceased by: his parents, Hal Eugene and Blanche Elizabeth Ables Burrell; and his siblings, Hal R. Burrell and Wylodean Edwards. He is survived by: his children, Christian Burrell (Tracey), Blake Burrell (Nikki), Jacqueline Wise and Rachel Lovelace (Chad); his siblings, Jerry Burrell (Shirley), Murray Burrell (Pam) and Ann Harrell; and his grandchildren, Joel Love, Whitney Wilson (Lance), Eli Watkins, Ellis Wise, Gracie Burrell, Carson Burrell, Drake Crimm, Ava Kate Lovelace and Brittney Claire Burrell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
