She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cook and Lula Olivia Strahan Cook; and her husband John T "Bo" Ellington. She is survived by: her children, Robin Payne (Tim), Glen Ellington and Andy Ellington (Carla); her grandchildren, Olivia (Andrew), Eric (Victoria), Josh, Jonathan, Cole (Madison) and Abbie; and her great grandchildren, Bryar and Rowan.
