He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Allen Paynter, Sr. and Juanita Goss Paynter; and his siblings, Brad Liggett and Donna Liggett Heartsill. He is survived by: his children, Grayson Paynter (Kelly) and Mary Kathryn Paynter; his grandchildren, Scout and Sailor Paynter (Janet Hale); his sisters, Maita Smith (Charlie) and Laura Lee Graham Flynn (Mike); and his former wife Suzii Youngblood Paynter March. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
