She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Alexandria Murphree and Dorothey Louise Campbell Murphree; and her siblings, Paulene Carpenter (Ralph), Lydia Cornelius (Jim), Nathan Murphree (DJ) and Aldren "Bobo" Murphree (Judy).
She is survived by: her husband George Saunders; her children, Dr. Erin Jacobs Stagner (Randy) and Prentiss Aaron "Pete" Pernell III; her stepdaughter Mary George Dodson (Caleb); her siblings, Bobby Murphree (Peggy), Dr. Rick Murphree (Lynne) and Sherry Chaffin (Bobby); and her grandchildren, Maggie, Abbie, Lydia, Savannah, Parker and Aaron. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
