He was predeceased by: his parents, William Abb and Leola Watkins Hodges; and his siblings, Bobby Hodges and Virginia Vickers. He is survived by: his children, David L. Hodges, Jr. (Melanie) of Itta Bena, Scott Hodges (Shea) of Union and Emilie H. Martin (Jarrett) of Tupelo Carrie; his close friend Myra Coleman of Itta Bena; the mother of his children Anita Hodges of Brandon; his grandchildren, Katy Hodges, Will Hodges, Tyler Hodges, Elizabeth Martin, Grayson Barefoot, Oliver Barefoot, Alex Martin, Victoria Barefoot and Ryan Hodges; and his sons-in-law, Cliff Barefoot and Jarrett Martin.
