He was predeceased by: his son Scott McLain; his grandson Brian Pierce; his siblings, Dorothy Lofton, James McLain and Hill C. McLain II; and his nephews, Alan McLain and Hill C. McLain III.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Brewer McLain; his daughter Lora McLain Pierce (Mickey); his grandchildren, Stephanie Pierce McIntire (John), Michael Pierce (Jodi), Dylan Thomas, Tyler McLain, Elizabeth Pierce and Nicholas Pierce; his great grandchild Sapphira McIntire; and his brothers, Wayne Lofton (Sally) and Leslie Lofton (Linda). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
