He was predeceased by: his wives, Barbara Golden Dunn and Marguite Fowler Dunn; his parents, J. D. Dunn and Eunice Poindexter Dunn; and his siblings, Donald Dunn, Bobby Dunn, Margie Dunn and Glenda Pruitt.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Dunn of Palmetto, GA, Brock Dunn (Kimberly) of Flowery Branch, GA and Renee Rodgers of Crowder, MS; and his siblings, Paul Dunn of Nashville, TN, Jimmy Dunn of Mobile, AL, Ricky Dunn of Charleston, MS and Barbara Rodgers of Winona, MS. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
