She was predeceased by: her parents, James Holman and Myrtle Crowley Griffin; her husband Elmer Dabney; her sons, Thomas Wayne Meador and Michael Bratton Meador; her brothers, James "Sonny" Griffin and William Earl Griffin; and her grandsons, Christopher Meador and Michael Meador.
She is survived by: her siblings, Judy Gillis (Allen) of Grenada and Bob Griffin (Inette) of Alabama; her stepdaughter Marie Armistead of Alabama; and her grandchildren, Sandra Holliman, Matthew Meador, Wendy Hale, Rebecca Hitchens, Maggie Pugh, Benjamin Meador, Meagan Pearson and Emily Crouch. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
