He was predeceased by: his parents, William Phillips and Hazel Phillips; and his sister Sally Collins. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Jeanne Patrick Phillips of Hattiesburg; his daughter Marye Runnels (John) of Petal; his grandchildren, Emily Marye Runnels of Austin, TX and Blake Patrick Runnels of Petal; his niece Debbie Collins of San Antonio, TX; and his nephew Chris Collins (Sonja) of Clinton.
