He was predeceased by: his parents, W. C. "Coyette" Hendon and Wilma Watkins Hendon; and his sister LaVera Morris. He is survived by: his wife Diane Hendon; his children, Chuck Hendon, Chris Hendon and Terri Lynn Hendon-Warden; his siblings, John "Bud" Hendon, Donnie Hendon, Judi Otts and Julie Spenser; and his grandchildren, Bay Hendon, Sarah Elliot Hendon and Everett Hendon.
