He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardean Helland and Marcella Helland. He is survived by: his wife Patti Helland; his children, Joshua Helland, Randi Avery (Richard), Nicholas Otteson (Myrna) and Matthew Otteson (Melissa); and his grandchildren, Seth, Susan, Axl, Olivia, Luke, Ashton and Branch.
