She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Herring and Oakley Herring; and her siblings, Ernest Herring, Marcus D. "M. D." Herring, Leonard Herring, Stanley Herring, Jr., Charles Edward Herring of Harold Herring, O. D, Bernice Herring McKenzie, Sarah Jane Herring Stringer and Peggy Sue Herring Garner.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Ray Crain (Donna Sue) of Bogalusa, LA, Michael Glynn Crain (Sydney Etta) of Mobile, AL and Sheila Deniene Crain Shappley (Michael Ray Shappley) of Hattiesburg; her grandchildren, Donald Chad Crain (Monica), Jason Michael Crain (Sonya), Jennifer Lee Crain Seal (Randall) and Justin Hawthorne Crain; and her sisters, Joanne Herring Gerald and Brenda Herring Crain. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
