It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marjorie Dowd (Hattiesburg, Mississippi), born in Polo, Missouri, who passed away on February 23, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Yoakum and Lola Yoakum; her son Roy Evans; her husbands, Dean Evans, Ken Orr and Joe Dowd; and her siblings, Ruth, Harold, Velda, Loran, Jean and Joe.
She is survived by: her son Mike Evans (Linda) of Petal, MS; her grandchildren, Tyler Evans (Amy) of Katy, TX and Rynn Evans of Boston, MA; her daughter-in-law Julie Evans of Crystal Springs, MS.; and her sister Betty Sackman of Topeka, KS. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as multiple step family members.
