It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marjorie B Carney of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaston S. Beard, Sr. and Ellie Beard; her husband Jessie "Ron" Carney; and her son-in-law Richard H. Toombs. She is survived by: her children, Sherry Sibley Toombs, Donna Douglas (Paul), Timothy A. Carney and Tina Carney. She is also survived by six Grandchildren; five Great Grandchildren; three Brothers; three Sisters; and various Nieces and Nephews.

“I just read that my dear friend, Margie, passed away. I went to 38th Avenue Baptist Church with her and Ron years ago, then worked with her at L & A Contracting in the mid 1980’s. We saw her again about 2017 after we moved to Sumrall. Such a genuine Christian woman. She was tiny but a powerful child of God!! Sorry for your loss. Brenda and Lamar Reed and family”
