He was predeceased by: his parents, James Griffen Sr. and Lillie Mae Thomas; his brother Jeffrey Thomas; and his children, Courtney Cooke and Lucious T. Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Thomas; his children, Tinesia Cooke-Lee and Ivyanna Thomas; his grandchildren, Omarion Carson, Jaylen Lee and Zaria Lee; and his siblings, Angeline Harris, Ferdininado Thomas, Joann Griffin, Joyce Griffin, Jackie Griffin, Jeffrey Griffin and James Griffin, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
