She was predeceased by: her parents, Lazell Sanders and Helen Sanders; her daughter Sherral Barnes; her siblings, Willie (Delores), Stella (Wombat), Billy (Gloria), Barbara (Anthony) and Lazell (Charlotte); her nieces, Shandricka, Kharlise (Linda) and Jada (Jeffrey); and her nephew Nicholas (late Stella).
She is survived by: her children, Tynita Barnes of D'Iberville, MS, Tyquel Barnes of Hattiesburg, MS, Shanene Roberson (Reggie) of Fredericksburg, VA and Shelton (Melicia) McNeil; and her siblings, Linda Gale (Curtis), Michael (Faye), Jonathan, Clifton, James Sanders of Hattiesburg, MS, Jeffrey Sanders of Beaumont, MS, Dennis (Cynthia) and Lee of Gulfport, MS. She is also survived by oldest of 12 siblings, grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at the Forrest Funeral Home (1258 Richburg Rd, Hattiesburg, MS 39404).
