He is survived by: his wife Linda Fortenberry Steele; his sons, Lester LaCary Steele (Julie) and Charles Scott Stone (Christina); and his sisters, Pamela Jean Steele Miller and Patricia Ann Steele. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
