It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lelia Grace Sowden Lowery of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, who passed away on January 29, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Sowden and Esther Talbert Sowden; her husband Carroll Lowery; her grandsons, Donald Wayne Lowery, Jr. and Derek Lowery; her daughter-in-law Debbie Lowery; and her siblings, Ben Sowden and Anita Sowden Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald Wayne Lowery of Hattiesburg and Dave (Melanie Lowery); her grandchildren, Elise Lowery Blackwood (Ryan), Renee Lowery (Cameron Ryerson) and Justin Lowery; and her brother Arnie Sowden of Houston, Texas.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Memorials may be made to Main Street Baptist Church.
