He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Watson and Janette Watson; and his sister Janis Watson. He is survived by: his wife Carol Watson; his daughter Amy Burns (Clarke); and his grandchildren, Anderson Burns and Emma Burns. He is also survived by cousins and lifelong friends.
