She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Caperton and Clara Mae Caperton; her husband Charles "Charlie" T. Carter; and her daughter Cheryl Ruth Carter. She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda Townsend of Soso, Charlotte Boozer (William) of Hattiesburg and Lisa Carter of Hattiesburg; and her sister Claire Williams of Hattiesburg. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
