It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James E. Norris (Hattiesburg, Mississippi), who passed away on June 2, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen L. Norris, and John D. Norris, Jr.; his brothers, John C. and David H.; and his wife Judy.
He is survived by: his daughter O. Kate Scott (Dan); his sister Susan L. DuBose (Paul); his former wife Cathy C.; and his granddaughters, Abigail and Nora Katherine. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Later in life and prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, he spent much of his time volunteering and working with his churches – most notably spending many years ringing the bell for the Salvation Army's Christmas campaign.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Salvation Army of Hattiesburg in his memory.
