He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Alfred and Jessie Willena Hewitt Gent; his brother Alfred Gent; his wife Jannelle Jacqueline Jackson Gent of Waynesboro; his daughters, Janet Lynn Gent Parker (Ted Parker) and Jacqueline Gent Drennan (Melton Drennan); his grandchildren, Conner Jackson Drennan (Bailee Drennan), Laken Hewitt Beets (Andy Beets), Landon Elizabeth Landrum (William Landrum), Gent Taylor Parker (Meredith Lucas Parker) and Carl Davis Parker; his great grandchildren, John Hewitt Beets, Edward Case Beets, Wyatt Drennan, Mary Louise Landrum and Gray Taylor Parker; and his sister Shirley Ann Gent Woodward.
