He was predeceased by: his parents, Blanche Strnad and Otto Strnad. He is survived by: his wife Margaret F. Strnad; his daughters, Margaret Ann Strnad and Amber Marie Lena; his brothers, Robert, Gerald and Kenneth Strnad; his sister-in-law Joanne Strnad; his grandchildren, Hayden Charles Lena (Kelsey Grace) and Haley Marie Lena; and his great grandchild Ruth Marie Lena. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
