He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Fred and Deardre Carter; and his children, Curtis (Arlette), Darryl (Gwendolyn), Rodrick (Valeria), Winfred and Kevin Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie Lee Carter. He is also survived by friend to his deceased wife and there is a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
