He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Barnes Jr. and Estelle Barnes; and his former wives, Glenda DeVries Barnes and Sandra Collins Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Mickie Ellis Barnes; his daughters, Robin Barnes Grandonico (Stephen) and Lindsey Barnes Mays (Eric); his stepchildren, Michelle Ellis Pettey (Greg) and Tyler Ellis (Pam); and his grandchildren, Alexandra Grandonico, Jackson Mays, Ann Thompson, Adele Pettey, Jack, Grayson and Wesley Ellis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Gulfport Benevolence Fund Snack Bag ministry.
