With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marguett Joiner of Greenwood, Mississippi, born in Indianola, Mississippi, who passed away on May 7, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Brooks and Leona Cotton Tanksley; her husband Edward Earl Joiner; her daughter Gloria Adams; and her brother Kenny Tanksley of Greenwood.
She is survived by: her children, Norma Carpenter of Greenwood and Robert Joiner (Sandra) of Itta Bena; her siblings, Eula Alderman (Marvin), Jane Swider and Thomas Tanksley (Brenda) of Greenwood; and her grandchildren, Rob Joiner (Amber) of Greenwood, John Carpenter (Veronica) of Olive Branch, Peyton Walker (Tim) of Hernando, Page McKelvy (Kevin) of Conway, AR, Glenn "Goonie" Carpenter, Jr., Bubba Carpenter, Colby Carpenter and Jake Carpenter. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
