With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Montgomery of Greenwood, Mississippi, who passed away on August 7, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Smith and Pauline Henderson Smith; and her sister Alice Smith. She is survived by: her husband Charles J. Montgomery; her children, Ellen Hey (David) of Greenwood, MS, Andrew T. Montgomery (Nancye) of Natchez, MS and Charles J. Montgomery, Jr. of Greenwood, MS; her siblings, Jo Ann Beasley of Kansas City, KS, Wesley Smith (Weecie) of Spring, TX, Sarah Brown (Sammy) of Mantee, MS and Paula Smith of Ridgeland; and her grandchildren, David Hey, Jr. (Summer) of Greenwood, MS, Joseph Hey of Bozman, MT, Andrew Montgomery (Anna) of Bangkok, Thailand, Julieanna Panantang (Uthai) of Bangkok and Michelle Hodges (Channing) of Greenwood, MS. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
