It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janie Simmons of Greenwood, Mississippi, who passed away on July 2, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Adams and Ester Lee Adams; her husband Melborn Simmons; and her daughter Mary Simmons Wilson. She is survived by: her daughter Connie Simmons Black (Mickey); her son-in-law Joe Wilson of Temple, Texas; her granddaughters, Arrie Wilson Haddon and Molly Simmons Blakeney (Austin); and her great grandchildren, Meredith Haddon, Wilson Haddon, Simmons Blakeney and Lucy Blakeney.
