He is survived by: his daughter Alisa Bowen Jernigan (Steve) of Opelika, AL; his grandchildren, Jonathan Bowen Jernigan of Raleigh, NC, Jason Liu of New York City, NY, Rebecca Stith (Christian) of Raleigh, NC and Ashley Hatley (Joseph) of Burlington, NC; and his sister Christine Hales (Lyn) of Vicksburg, MS. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
